Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty: Is a Nose Reduction Without Surgery Possible?

Published on December 8, 2014

For most people, facial harmony is an essential component of a healthy self-image. As one of its most prominent features, your nose serves a crucial role in balancing the physical attributes of your face. If you are frustrated by the look of your nose, non-surgical rhinoplasty may be an option.

This procedure is an option for a few patients who want a non-invasive approach to correct certain cosmetic defects, or who aren’t good candidates for surgery. The process involves the use of injectables to shape and contour the nose to achieve the desired results. The overall benefits of these dermal fillers are faster results and quicker healing times as well as the possibility of little or no pain.

While a non-surgical rhinoplasty is possible in certain circumstances, it is not an option for patients with significant nasal deformities or for individuals who want to diminish the size of their nose. In these instances, surgical intervention is the best course of action.

Keep in mind that the majority of our patients do require a surgical rhinoplasty procedure to achieve the look they desire. To find out if your procedure will need to be surgical or non-surgical, come to our practice in Scottsdale for a rhinoplasty consultation with Dr. David Hecht.
